We had a sneak peek of the reception decor before we left for the ceremony, but walking into the room after it was complete was utterly breathtaking. The pops of Tiffany blue (get it? Tiffany!?) were so lovely against the white inside the Stonegate Mansion ballroom. BAM!

I’m not sure where the idea for this entrance came from. I think DJ Jeff Burris and I were feeling rather feisty so a bridesmaid & groomsman spirit finger entrance seemed like an excellent idea.

There’s an excellent story here about the cake. As the reception went on the cake became less and less …um … vertical. Tiffany’s mother wanted to move up the cake cutting early but I assured her that the cake wasn’t going anywhere. I’ve seen cakes melt and I’ve seen cakes fall – this one wasn’t going to take a bow that quickly. So after some calm assurances, the cake cutting was not moved up prematurely and we still had tons of enjoyable fun.

The fabulous vendors.
