Sharon and I worked together in another life that was full of acronyms, Scandinavians and 8×8 foot cubicle space. I was overly excited to not only hear from her, but also to be asked to shoot her upcoming wedding. Sharon laughed about the impression that I made on her mom- who was very intrigued and excited about the concrete flooring in my studio. Hey, always give them something to talk about!

The Texas summer heat gave us a nice surprise and we enjoyed a light breeze throughout the day. And speaking of surprises, the horse apple tree had it’s own surprises in store. During formal portraits it tried to take out a table and apparently it wasn’t done because then it tried to take out a groomsman during the ceremony. If you don’t know what a horse apple is, apparently it goes by many names, but this is what it looks like:

She looks quite unaware of the fact that she is holding a weapon 🙂
