After hair & makeup concluded, we took the bridal party to this lovely spot in downtown McKinney. I just love the texture of the wall and how it allowed the purple clothing to pop. And there’s the beautiful, Shanna. She was just stunning, taking that bridal glow to a whole new level.

I caught up with the groom’s party at Rover Dramawerks. They were a crew with a lot of personality and they were just so easy to talk to and snap photos of. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed portraits that day – they were laid back, enjoyable and the weather was perfectly cooperative.

Shanna and Walt did have a very specific image request – they wanted images under the ghost light. For you non-theatre types (like me – I needed an explanation as well), a ghost light is “an electric light that is left energized on the stage of a theater when the theater is unoccupied and would otherwise be completely dark. It typically consists of an exposed incandescent bulb, CFL lamp, or LED lamp mounted in a wire cage on a portable light standard.” — props to Wikipedia for the definition.

I used an IceLight and an adolescent child for the images below. (Please note that no children or IceLights were harmed during the making of these images).
