I’ve never had the pleasure of shooting a ceremony at Delaney Vineyard, just some lovely receptions. I arrived with extra lights even though it was mid-afternoon. You know, just in case. But I was met with gorgeous beaming sunlight coming through the sky lights – the most perfect streak of amazingness was about 3 feet from where the bride & groom were to stand during the ceremony. I cleared it with my groom Matt and the site coordinator and a small group of us moved the chairs back a few feet. Now, I’m not in the business of rearranging things, but I stood there for a second just knowing what those couple of feet would mean in terms of image quality and I just had to do it. If you are wondering, yes, this is the first time I’ve interfered like this ever. And, yes, I think it was totally worth it.
Matt was beaming.
