Knowing ahead of time that Nicole and Adam were having an intimate ceremony & reception, I suggested that we do an image of all of the guests. The original plan was to keep everyone in the pews and to do a large room shot with Nicole & Adam standing in the aisle, but the inside of the church was reaching into unbearable digits so we hustled the guests into the parking lot. Luckily, this parking lot wasn’t paved (YAY Prosper Presbyterian!) and lined with trees so it provided some much needed shade.
We continued with a few more portraits at the reception site – Nicole’s parent’s home. I loved the lighting in her parent’s master bedroom as well as the blue color of the walls.
We were able to incorporate Nicole’s brother in law, who found himself in such awful standstill traffic that he wasn’t able to arrive until after the ceremony.
And we can always find time for some additional images of family and friends 🙂
The reception wound down a bit early so I asked where the nearest corn field was and we headed that direction for some more pictures of them together. The conversation went something like this:
me: where is the nearest corn field?
Nicole’s mom: I’m not sure we have a corn field around here.
me: In Prosper?! There’s a corn field down here somewhere!
Nicole’s dad: I’m sure there’s one off the Tollway before it becomes the Tollway.
Nicole’s mom: I think they mowed that down.
me & Nicole’s dad: Nahhhhhhhhh.
We heart you guys! And all of Prosper’s lovely cornfields!
