“O, by the way, the Main Street Arts Festival is this weekend” Megan said to me over lunch at Taco Diner a few days before the wedding.
Viv, Audrey, and I left the studio early to combat the craziness that comes with the yearly art festival in Fort Worth and we took the long way around downtown, coming in behind the Renaissance Worthington and following the special hotel guest signs and even talking the police man into letting us through the blocked off street so we could make it to the hotel. When we arrived in front of the Worthington, the valet asked if we wanted to self park. I laughed at out loud, “no way I’m driving back into that!” He definitely understood and got into my car, reading sticky note attached to the steering wheel that read “don’t take 114”, reminding me that the highway was going to be closed off on our way back. “Remember not to take 114,” he laughed. I think we were safe from that for the time being.
Megan and James’ wedding was our first time having both a ceremony and reception at the Renaissance Worthington Hotel. Luckily, I had meet their super lovely coordinator before and I called her up for all of the super secret information that I needed to know – like what room the bride was getting ready in!
We set up their first glance on the terrace and were blessed with some glorious soft light – and an utterly excited groom!
We had some wonderful moments together before portraits and we took advantage of them with some pictures of Megan & James together.
