Preparing for my best friend’s wedding day has been pretty easy so far. Being an OCD planner, I’ve probably asked her more questions than she was ready to answer as I’ve tried to plan my flight, hotel stay & rental car for the week that I am going to be in Seattle. Now that all of that is settled and bridal shower invites are sent out, I’m waiting for my bridesmaids dress to arrive.
Gloria choose Alfred Angelo style #7002, a cocktail length dress in expresso, which I ordered from Pearls Place. I’m really in love with this dress, from the hint of a sweetheart neckline to the A-line of the skirt.

Once the dress arrives, I’m sending it off to the amazing, tailoring goddess Becky Fowler (972.986.8067) to have it altered.
Then the super funness of shoe shopping begins! But what color will those shoes be? Good question! I’ve been given shoe buying freedom with the ‘suggestion’ of wearing red! Gloria cracks me up. At a whole 5 feet tall, I will be the shortest one in the wedding party so I was definitely thinking about some medium heals. This brought me to my next thought, “what about sinking in the ground as I walk down the aisle?” Gloria confirmed that Seattle soil is really soft so my thought turned into visions of stumbling and aerating the aisle!
But Gloria had that covered and in an amazing email of glory let me know about SoleMates! I’m not claiming that they will work, just saying that there’s something out there for everyone & everything! I will probably order a pair unless someone jumps onto the blog and says “Nooooooooooooo!” At least give the suckers a chance, right?
