The crew and I arrived early to the Sheraton in downtown Dallas so we could go over our plan of action for that day. There were some tricky elements that we needed to talk through, which included where to store our equipment throughout the course of the day. The reality is that I’m a habitual over-planner and I have to know where everyone and everything is. Luckily my girls don’t smack me around, especially when I send out crazy detailed schematics of the wedding day schedule. (I’d like to throw out some special love to Stacey Pinkney who not was an excellent second shooter but also someone who embraced my detailed time line with her highlighter!)
We arrived to the soft smell of fresh flowers by the amazing Robin of DiFiori. Stacey & Audrey set their sights on the flowers while Becca and I went to see what Liz and her bridesmaids were up to.
The door to the bridal suite was ajar so we let ourselves right into the action. It was buzzing with bridesmaids running back and forth, makeup here, hair spray there. Liz was having her hair done at the time and we waved and sailed kisses through the room as we made a straight line for her accessories and dress. I started with the shoes. I need a moment of silent for these sexy beasts.
I moved on to her dress. The suite was expansive and well decorated but I couldn’t that perfect location for the dress so I started rearranging until I was able to hang it up on this glorious light fixture. I love the light play and the textures that it gives to the image. I’m pretty sure Becca heard me squeal with glee. I know the bridesmaids laughed at my redecorating.
And then there was the veil, her mother’s veil. I loved how well the veil complimented the dress.

The ridiculously beautiful and beaming bride.

On to the church for some portraits!
