Have you ever seen that episode of the Simpsons when all the ‘Leaf Changers’ flock into Springfield? I was told that the same thing happened in Upstate New York in early October, but on a much smaller/less comical scale. Coming from Texas where leaves are either green and on the trees or dead and on the ground, I couldn’t imagine how exciting it would be to go see leaves . Fall is a season that I have skipped every year of my life and just not known what I was missing.
In early October, New Paltz was already in the 40 degree range and the air smelled crisp and beautiful. The skies were so amazingly blue that you wouldn’t believe it. Not a single one of the images was touched with post processing, it was just that amazingly beautiful. All of it.
I found Liz on the far end of the resort getting her hair & makeup done in the salon.
The bridesmaids having a great time.
Phone call.
Liz’s earrings.
Her dress and veil.
Liz getting ready with the help of her mother and sister.
Vivian threw Carl outside for some more lovely sky watching.
A sneak peak at the flowers.
