The lovely ladies at Gil’s Elegant Catering invited me to take part in an open house for Life in Deep Ellum cultural center. Life in Deep Ellum is set to be the snazzy, hip new wedding and event venue in Deep Ellum. The area has really gone through some changes in the late 90s and early 00’s, when I knew it for it’s clubbing and drinking debauchery. True story- my first drink was at Coopertank Brewery. A few streets over, Commerce is really thriving with some excellent munching joints and the whole area is going through one big sexy revitalization. You cannot imagine my excitement when I heard a wedding venue was opening it’s doors there!
Here are all of the vendors that participated. I was just blown away at the art work that was done so lovingly in chalk! My logo looked freaking perfect so I stopped and gawked every chance I got!
The location offers both ceremony and reception space. I just loved how the set up the room so that the bride and groom could say their vows in the middle instead of sticking with the traditional bride and groom’s side on the left and right. There is still an aisle to for the bride to walk, but the guests get a better vantage point and the photographers get to see more of your guest’s emotions!
This is my little space. I shared the side of the room with the terrific officiants at Love Notes Weddings and we chatted and had an amazing time!
The room itself has some sexy drama going on. YUM!
