As I started writing up today’s blog post, I realized that it was pretty jam-packed with images and it only kept getting longer. So instead of one reception post, I decided to break it up into three. Yes, three. And suddenly I realize that Lauren + Chris have officially taken over the blog for two weeks! You scoundrels!
Today we will pay tribute to their deep blue and lime green details. The guests had a preview of the color scheme during the ceremony. The cocktail hour continued the theme flawlessly with those eye-catching blue table cloths set against a gorgeous sky and with the lovely Tribute Golf Club as a backdrop. Guests were welcomed with drinks and hors d’Å“uvre while we took a few quick images of the extended families.
Inside, guests picked up their boarded pass, aka table seating card. My whole crew each had their own boarding passes. Our destination? Philadelphia!
Further inside was this amazingness. Look at it, let all of the loveliness sink in.
I bet you want to know what’s inside. Handmade chocolates in the shape of their home states, of course. Waiiittttt, handmade by whom? Lauren & Chris, of course!
The travel theme came to full fruition in the cakes. The bride’s cake featured a slew of destinations with the honeymoon location near the top. And to top off the cake? A set of luggage with their initials on it, duh.
Chris’ groom’s cake was the epitome of a gamers wet dream. An Xbox console on the bottom, topped with controllers from a variety of other game systems. I drooled and Vivian had to pull me away before I made a puddle on the floor right there and then.
There was also a custom topper right next to it in Lauren & Chris’ likeness. On their computers!
A fantastic view of their champagne flutes. Vivian really outdid herself.
The boys and their custom converse.
My favorite ring shot. Look at that bokeh!
A sparkler send off was a must!
