It’s quite okay to be jealous of this perfect December day and simultaneously of this beautiful wedding party. Easily one of my favorites, this whole group was so incredibly gorgeous, both inside and out. Thank you to all of you for being so amazing. It’s a true testament to how much you love Kristen and Dale.
Wait, wait! I’m not leaving out the family! They embraced me as one of their own as if I had been their friend for ages. Yes, it was one big happy hug all day.
I’d like to send a special thank you to Hugo for the next three shots that he captured while I was photographing the bridesmaids. Hugo is so amazing at moments that his images always take my breath away.
The beginning of my post was dedicated to everyone but the bride and groom – so here’s a little more about these two…
It’s fairly pretty rare for me to meet the groom for the first time on the wedding day, but that is exactly what happened with Dale since he and Kristen live in New York. On such occasions, the groom will actually meet Vivian and Hugo before they meet me since I stay behind and get the bride dressed. My first ‘hey! I’m your photographer!’ is usually during formal portraits with the groomsmen and I think that half the time I actually even forget to tell them my name because I’m juggling three million thoughts … and a camera.
Dale was so kind and so enchanting. I suddenly could not wait to see the two of them together. Of course, I got that chance right after the ceremony as we enjoyed some lovely quiet moments at Marty Leonard Chapel. And they were just as amazing together as I knew they would be.
