And then it was time to party. Our beautiful evening commenced at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth where the decor was both inviting and simply smashing.
I’ll let you enjoy images first. I have a nice story later on in the post that I wanted to share.
As the reception got into full swing, I started seeing more and more faces that I recognized. Now, I knew that Rachel and Gary would be attending. The story was that Doug was a groomsmen in their wedding, but as these peeps approached me for hugs the light bulb really went off. Not only was Doug a groomsmen in that wedding but he was THAT groomsmen. You know, the one who sort of goes to the beat of his own drummer? The one who causes a crazy ruckus? And then I tell zany stories about? Yeah, that was him. All along the planning process, he kept very quiet about this portion of the story and for some reason my otherwise impeccable memory failed me. But as soon as that light bulb went off, all the memories flood back. He was THAT groomsmen. And suddenly his comment about being glad that I even accepted this wedding made a lot more sense.
But this crew did not disappoint. After a mandatory picture with all of them, they busted out on the dance floor until all of the windows were shaking. So who is getting married next? I think it’s time for another reunion!
