Here’s a bonus second post today because I got so busy and didn’t post yesterday 🙂
As soon as Donny and his crew arrived at The Church of the Apostles, we began portraits. The weather was incredibly perfect for early November and I was extremely excited to be shooting them inside Patrick’s Place at the church. Patrick is Katie’s brother who passed a few years ago in a car accident and the garden & structure we were shooting in was built in his memory. Katie honored his memory in many ways through the day, including a brown string that she pinned to her dress and a red candle as part of their centerpiece at the reception. I was utterly excited when Katie agreed to shoot portraits outside there because it was not only incredibly beautiful, but so meaningful.
So, yes, there we were starting Donny’s portraits and pinning the boutonnieres on the guys when Nancy confessed her groom confusion and we giggled at her for a bit. Ok, we are still giggling at her 🙂
On the left, not Donny. On the right, Donny.
The boys were so wonderful and cooperative that we were done in 5 minutes. Donny’s family happened to arrive so we pulled them into some impromptu pictures as well.
Grandma was a spunkmiester. You will see her dancing away in the reception in my next post!

And then we were off to the reception at Coyote Ridge Country Club in Carrollton.
