Jennifer brought both moms by the week before the wedding to look at albums. David’s mom was already getting teary just looking at other people’s weddings; I knew she was a shoe in for a teary mother-son dance.
The day of the wedding went very smoothly. The most difficult part was navigating around the church. It was a maze of 2 or 3 or maybe even 4 floors. At some point I ended up in the “short” hallway; where all of the doors were miniature. I was definitely in the wrong place.
My favorite part was coming around a corner and running into an unsuspecting groomsman. They weren’t phased, they just wanted to know if I knew the score to the Texas/OU game and if I was coming to tell them about a touchdown. Um, no, I’m trying to find the sanctuary, again.
I had no problem with getting lost at The Modern, but my phone didn’t fare as well. I still have no idea how my phone ended up at The Modern but in my frantic search for it the next day, I got a call from security (thanks Phillip!!!!) saying they had it. My phone now has the logo “www.lynnmichelle.com” come up when it is in silent mode, just in case it mysteriously makes its way back to The Modern!
