Chera, Matt and I clicked immediately when we met so many months ago. When Chera emailed me that same day to tell me that I definitely was the photographer for them, I clapped (audibly, because I’m strange like that) and sent one of my “YIPPEEEE!” emails straight back. From that point, Chera and I exchanged many an email – each one making me more excited about the culmination of fun that was going to be their wedding day.
From their engagement pictures, I had already learned that Matt & Chera needed very little direction from me. I let them just interact and their personalities shined through as a result. Matt, like most guys, wasn’t too fond of the camera but I was happy to let him have a beer and a smoke and he exclaimed “I actually enjoyed myself!” before they drove off after the portrait session. Gold star for me.
When it came to formal pictures, the guys were all a little iffy about getting their picture taken so the answer was clear. I bribed them: a smoke and some time to chat it up and then I threw them in to posed formal portrait mode. No complaints, I had 8 very happy guys. Another gold star earned.
Welcome to the portion of the wedding that had me up until 4am.
It started innocently enough with a Ghirardelli chocolate-covered strawberry. After dipping it for the picture, I HAD to eat it. Why waste a perfectly dipped strawberry, right? [No wonder The Tribute highly endorses The Gourmet Chocolate Fountains. Exquisite.]
Next came the candy buffet – not just any old candy buffet-a hand scooped, personally-served candy buffet. [No wonder The Tribute highly endoreses them. Have I already said that?!]
And then there was cake. Glorious, glorious cake. But it doesn’t end there. Jeremy, my favorite bartender at the Tribute, kept my glass of Dr Pepper filled up all night. I might as well have been on a sugar IV at this point. Yes, I was spinning in circles by this point.
