This was my first opportunity to photograph a wedding in the original chapel at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth. It had the intimate feel that Brittany and Colby were looking for their wedding and it just felt overwhelmingly warm and inviting all around.

I asked Vivian to take a picture of the communion and she giggled “but they look like chicklets on a platter” and my reply (which she hears regularly) “well make that look good”. I just can’t pass this image without giggling myself.

Colby holding back tears. So sweet.

There were no particular rules, other than not being an all out jerk so I chose to stay near the back with my wide lens & telephoto to get a variety of shots without being a constant wandered around the place.

Vivian was almost on stage- she was in a small doorway to the right of Colby and had the perfect view of Brittany’s expressions during the ceremony.

It happened to be the perfect placement for the communion and a prayer together. It’s not luck when you know ahead of time what is going on and where 🙂

My view from the back. I just love how well a wedding day comes together!
