There was a lot of talk of the weather that week. June was gearing up to be a warm month, and there were hopes that an early June wedding meant that the weather would still be nice. Ashley wanted to get married in her grandparent’s backyard in Granbury. This was more than just any backyard though, it was special to her because it was her grandparent’s hard work as master gardeners that it made it feel just like home. But the weather was being mean, first threatening rain, then bringing us some blazing pre-summer heat. And we kept making jokes at how cold it was that day as we dripped sweat all over the place. Because we think we are funny like that.
