2 1/2 hours later Vivian and I found ourselves on the CORRECT Shamrock Lane in Durant, Oklahoma. Apparently, you cannot trust a GPS in the wilds of OK, lest it takes you to the incorrect Shamrock Lane, a dirt “lane” in the middle of BFE. We saw Christmas tree farms and we knew we had gone too far. Too far, indeed.
Spending the night in Durant was such a good idea on so many levels. First, the free scenic tour of Oklahoma. Secondly, we got to run around the hotel with the wedding dress at midnight. I don’t think I’ve ever done that before.
Ally & Brandon got married on the beautiful waterfront at Cross Point in Kingston, Oklahoma. Ally told me how refreshing the location would be and she was so right! Ally & Brandon are big on surprises, so they always kept us guessing and we LOVED it!
The jewelry is lovely, isn’t it? Well, Ally made it herself! Get your own here.
Yep, that’s me doing hair & makeup. Ally wanted to make sure that she looked super hot on her wedding day, even while in BFE 😉
A little rain to set the mood.
Time for Brandon to get ready, too.
Surprise #1. Ally’s arrival to “Low Rider”.
Stylin’! I had no idea she would be driving though!
I promised Brandon’s mom that she could take pictures during the ceremony from her seat if she promised to put it down while she cried. That’s photographic gold right there.
Surprise #2, the cake was green inside.
Ok, Ally really isn’t laughing at her MOH’s tears. She’s crying herself.
Ally & her dad dance.
Brandon dances with his mom.
Surprise #3: The first dance. Starts tame.
You ain’t nothing but a hound dog.
Let’s do the twist.
Thriller!
Jump on it!
I fall down, but I get up again.
Maya hi. Maya ho.
Numa Numa Yay!
Ally’s dad is funny. Very, very funny.
