Alicia & Jessie, I know you are sneaky enough to come take a look before you leave for your honeymoon tomorrow so I wanted to give you some nice glimpse-attitude!
For you non-Dallasites and/or gamers, it rained today. Alicia kept saying it was “good lucking” all over the place, which I thought was hilarious. The rain let up right around 4:10, just in time for pictures of the guys pre-ceremony. I was hesitant to leave my lighting equipment and assistant (in that order!) outside during the ceremony for fear of another downpour, but it was all just perfect for all of the formals outside. Good thing, too, because I brought a couple of props for the bridal party 😉
The following images are straight out of camera (SOOC, in case you need another acronym in your life), and I found them during a quick browse of my last compact flash card.
Alicia & Jessie on the railroad tracks at their ceremony & reception site: Dallas Heritage Village. Alicia said some of her favorite bridals were on the tracks so we had to go back for some more good lovin’.
There’s a wildflower field in front of the old schoolhouse that I kept contemplating throwing Alicia & Jessie into. I was worried about Alicia getting muddy (remember, it ‘good lucked’ a lot today) but Alicia was all for it. I super love the vintagey yumminess of this scene.
Speaking of sneaky, they snuck out of the reception site for a little dancing in the courtyard.
A peek at the reception pavillion in the evening.
