Jennifer & Kelly :: caught!

Two weddings this past weekend make for a very groggy Monday morning. The cure for the Mondays is always some funny pictures from one of our past weddings! Up this week is Jennifer and Kelly- who had an intimate ceremony and reception for their closest friends and family in Denton. It was just Vivie and I at this wedding so there's basically a ton of pictures of her! Smile Vivie! A little height makes every picture better. This guest knocked is out of the way to take pictures with her point and shoot. She thought she...

Julian & Eric :: caught

This is what I look like in front of Marty Leonard Chapel when I pretend to be a ballerina. This is what Vivie looks like when it's windy. This is what Jessica looks like on the dance floor of the Chateau at Forest Park. This is what Viv & Jessica do at...

Kali & Paul :: caught!

Photographing Kali & Paul's wedding was super special to me. Not only did I get to hang out with some of my favorite clients - the Gebhardt family, but I got to be a part of a truly magical union of two families. Tears were shed, love was everywhere. Vivian, Hugo and I left for Austin on Friday afternoon to make it in time for the rehearsal dinner. Kali & Paul surprised me with some awesome Gnome presents. They really were awesome, that's my embarrassed/feeling so loved loved/trying not to cry, but failing...

Stacy & Danny :: caught!

Stacy and Danny's was absolutely unforgettable. First of all, it's just always bunches of ridiculousness when Michelle and I work together and then throw in a pinch of an absolutely amazing DJ, Glenn Roush, and we have ... well ... awesome ridiculousness. Michelle giving me a check of lighting ... with some pizazz. And then checking it on me. I was definitely too close to the lights. Hugo checking the distance on the telephoto lens as Michelle & I pose at the front of the ceremony site. We so cute. Now that's what I...

Brittany & Colby :: Caught!

October! We are officially into October weddings! We started October off with a lovely intimate wedding in Fort Worth. Brittany and Colby found me through Marty Leonard Chapel but decided to get married at Christ Chapel instead. Vivian setting up Colby for the first glance. She enjoys them as much as I do! Checking lighting for the processional shots. Viv was in an extremely smiley mood, apparently. And now sideways! There's always several pictures of my butt in the air at every wedding, it's been too long since I shared...

Haley & Hunter :: caught!

Beware the finger of instruction. This kitty was very happy to see us. See the big smile? Jessica caught me during some pictures of Haley & Hunter in downtown Fort Worth. And later photographing the flower girl in front of the Van Cliburn. A little free lensing. Don't mess with Vivie during ring shots. Just...

Orion Ballroom Shoot :: Caught!

We are still in idle before our wedding season starts officially the first week of March. In between, Michelle and I took on quite an extraordinary shoot at the Orion Ballroom. I will be sharing those images in some upcoming posts, but before I do - proof that I actually can photography children. The adorable twins in the background are Tina & Rick's. The white dress cutie in front of the camera is Beth & James' sweet daughter. Michelle teaching Kim how to dance. Hilarity always ensues with us. Wondering what I...

Katelyn & Justin :: caught!!

Katelyn, Justin, and her family & friends had us in stitches the whole day. Just laugh after laugh, we were on a roll. Here I am encouraging Justin's mom to join us for a picture. Vivian and Cindy fighting the wind. Special thanks to Cindy of Cindy Portillo Photography for lending us a hand! "Hey Viv - take this picture!" I'm surprised she doesn't bite my fingers off as often as I get in her way. Katelyn showing off while waiting for Justin. "To the right, move to the right". When you leave Cindy & Viv alone...

Jessica & Michael :: caught

Vivian, Jessica and I had an unhealthy amount of fun with Jessica, Michael and their friends & family. It's confusing putting two Jessicas together, but it's well worth the hilarity that ensues. I had some down time so I did the most appropriate thing I could thing of - bug Vivie while she's shooting details. Hi, I'm ready. Caught dancing with a groomsman. Woo hoo! TABLE 1,...
