Our usual silly...
I'm a little late posting this morning, but we have another exciting wedding coming up on the blog this week. My sweet editor, Cindy helped Vivie and I out at this wedding. Here she is helping me test the light. See, the light is good on both side of the wall :) Everyone loves to see Vivie work. If I look awkward it's only because I'm trying to get off the altar before anyone notices that I am up there. It's not wrong per se, just weird to be up there as the church lady eyeballs me. Hi, this is Vivie. Gimmie those...
We were lucky to get some extra time early in the day to play with Kelli's gorgeous Justin Alexander wedding dress. Extra time always means extra silliness for us anyway. We started with the sexy wall inside the Hickory Street Annex and then branched out to some ivy shots behind the building. I'm always pushing Vivie to try new things with dress shots, she finds me annoying most of the time and that's ok. Here I am asking if pulling the curtains will make it look better? (It didn't). While Vivie and Hugo were playing...
We stretched twice because we knew that any wedding with Michelle, Bill and their crazy peeps would require us to be limber and on our toes. Of course the wedding did not disappoint, giving us the appropriate amount of insanity, hilarity and partying. Vivie likes to take test shots of Hugo's hands. And Hugo likes to take pictures of Vivie working. Vivie + the dress. Viv and I taking turns with Michelle. Pretty Vivie right before the ceremony :) See, even the groomsmen were stretching! Hugo and I playing outside the...
Another fun time with my crew at Anita and David's Fort Worth wedding. We had a nice chunk of caught images from this one because it was just that much fun! Jess is SO supportive. Viv and I attacking the bouquets. Photo bombing Jess' shots. Crap, another broken Gnomie. My supply is getting low. Alright everybody, this is how you cut a cake. Let's get this show on the road! When I know it's one of Creme de la Creme's cakes I want to get this part moving along so I can get a...
There is nothing more humbling than being chosen by some of your favorite colleagues in the industry to photograph their wedding. When Katie of DiFiori declared that they just must have me, I blushed and gladly accepted. We were so part of the family that day and the wedding went off beautifully even though rain was in the forecast. We started by getting Katie dressed. I taught Jessica how to lace up the corset and let her go. Vivian's all up in there with details and I'm just getting to enjoy the big picture. Jessica...
Sometimes you just have no idea what kind of silly you are going to find on a wedding day. Laura, Drew and their friends definitely brought the silleeeeeeeeee. It didn't hurt that Adrianne from Turquoise is just like us and enjoys egging on the craziness as well. Here's Vivie taking one of her infamous detail shots. My little light chaser. This was a fun little surprise while editing. Apparently she enjoys playing with her reflection in elevators too. She's totally a cat. This was by far the most entertaining getting...
Katherine and Rayo helped us start our 2012 wedding season on such a high note! Here's their collection of caught photos since I think you should start every week on a high note! Happy Monday! Vivian, the shoes and the mirror. I stole the mirror off of Katherine's wall and couldn't get it back on so I left it on Rayo's desk to figure out later. Just an FYI, Katherine knew what I was doing - I don't normally go around stealing mirrors and not replacing them, but this one was tricky to get back up! Preparing the wedding...
Kathleen and David's wedding will officially mean that all of my 2011 weddings have been posted. It only took me until mid June to finish that sucker up! Lucky for you, we took a nice ton of caught images for this one! shoes? Hugo playing in the elevator. Vivie stealing flowers. Why, hello. Vivie in the shadows. Lynn butt. Vivie trying to work a point & shoot. Dangling...
Vivian, Hugo and I had way too much fun at Lauren & Grant's wedding last fall! We joked, we played, we taunted each other - you know, just a regular day at the office! This is the face that Vivie makes when I get in her way. She was busy focusing on the bouquets. Details, it's all about the details. How many layers of hilarity do you find in this image? Vivian shooting the unity candles. Getting ready for the first dance. I don't walk - I run. Hugo's view of the first glance. I'm not only the photographer - I'm...
