Jayme & Anthony's Wedding

Jayme and Anthony set the precedent at engagement pictures when we ran through a park, ate ice cream, and later had a pillow fight in the studio. Their antics on the wedding day were even better. Let's say it included creaming the best man with cake, personalized intros for the wedding party, a top 10 list for the guests, and a REALLY different father/daughter dance. Why can't everyone be so feisty? The flower girl's mom was so nervous that she would not make it down the aisle. She told the ring bearer that if...

wedding guests, part 2!

The second wedding I have attended this year!!! It was so much fun to attend Heather & Brad's Wedding at the Weisfeld Center in Dallas. I loved being able to dance and get lots of yummy food!Brandon Wade, her photographer, was awesome enough to email me these images yesterday. Super props to him, I haven't even downloaded the ones I took!!There's a story behind the last one! (Isn't there always?!) We got to the location early to give Heather something and we walked out on the stage to go grab our seats. (Don't worry -we...

4-1-1

I have been booked solid shooting eye candy for the past two weeks. It takes me a bit longer to get approval for eye candy images so those do not get updated as quickly to the blog as other portrait sessions. I have some really awesomely sexy images to share so keep an eye out for updates!I also started a new blog: http://catsanity.livejournal.com. It details my cat story. I don't talk in detail about my nutty cats here, but if you want to follow my cat adventures you are more than welcome to do so.If you haven't found...

the calm before the storm

I'm going to be traveling quite a bit in the next month so I'm hoping to get as far ahead as I can - on everything. I completed Mary/ David's & Alicia/Paul's weddings so it's just a matter of days until they are up on the blog!On Friday, Mr James is coming over to build me a cyc, which I am crazy excited about. I am going to be working in the studio all day and shooting pictures of the progress since I know some of my stalkers readers love to see the evolution of the studio space. So as not to leave you without some...

Studioish things

James & Nancy came over to help me hang a ceiling chain system for my heavy fabric backgrounds. I was caught in the middle of fiddling with the green background and promptly tried to...

Wassabi??

As we approach January this is what is known as my downtime. I will be shooting less for the next month (not by choice - it's just what happens when you are done with the Christmas portraits and the major fall wedding season) and getting ready for 2008. For me, getting ready for 2008, unfortunately, is going to involve going through the pile of paperwork that I have stacked in the corner. I've been avoiding it for a reason and luckily it hasn't toppled yet, but it has acquired some dust bunnies. Another mass blog update...

Alicia & Paul's Epics

I couldn't help to think about all of the crazy adventures I had been on, as here I was making my second ever trip to Denton. I like uncharted terriroty and was amused when we became the day's entertainment for Tom, the security guard at the courthouse. We made our way around the square and then found some back alley things that caught my attention. I watched Alicia and Paul carefully to see their reactions and they were all about the crazy places I was taking them. In order of greatness (from lowest to...

Fort Worth adventures

I was born and raised in Dallas, I know every crazy corner of it. My memories of Fort Worth are few and consist of going to the Japanese Gardens when I was 8 and a Metallica concert in '97. (That's the show when they played each song twice for a video they were making. Don't be jealous of the concert that took HOURS.) So it was time to acquaint myself better with the F to the W and my day started by visiting Thistle Hill & McFarland House. Both locations are beyond lovely and I'm happy to sure a full gallery of...

Marie & Kyle's Wedding

Spending time around Marie & Kyle is a blast. Marie is outgoing with a quirky sense of humor and Kyle is quietly sarcastic. From our first meeting, Marie was loving the Gnomie randomness. Kyle didn't even bat an eyelash when I pulled the Gnome out at the engagement picture session so I was more than excited to have these two on board. They got me, every single offbeat part of me. In fact, when things were winding down on the wedding day, they caught me in...
