Kimberly & Rob :: Wildwood Inn Wedding Reception

Reception posts make me so happy and so sad at the same time. Of course, the amazing memories of that come flooding back because the reception is where things get really wild and fun! But at the same time it means that all of the planning is over. Kim still emails me regularly and we banter back and forth on facebook as she has since moved to Virginia to be close to her sweet husband Rob. You better believe your hynie that we are already planning a trash the dress session in Virgina Beach, so stay tuned for that! This was...

Kim & Tom :: getting ready at Adolphus Hotel, Dallas

We walked into a bustling room at the Adolphus - Kim and her bridesmaids were in various phases of hair and makeup. And I caught Kim's eyes as she was in the makeup chair and realized she was not pleased. You just know, even when you've met a client a handful of times, you just know. One thing that I definitely knew about Kim is that she has the kind of heart that makes her go above and beyond to not hurt someone's feelings. The makeup  just wasn't rocking her world. So as Vivian and Hugo played with Kim's  gorgeous...

2012.

It's not that I wasn't ready for 2013, it's just that it kind of snuck up on me this year. The end of the 2012 found me to be the busiest I have ever been in my career - with my goal set firmly on being completely and utterly caught up as early into January as possible. And I was  - I proudly announced on facebook that I didn't have a single thing to edit less than two weeks into the year. You know, if it's on the internet it is indeed true and all that jazz. I've been sitting here blissfully in caught-up-ville, enjoying...

Katherine & Rayo :: ceremony

Before Katherine and Rayo's ceremony began, Rayo's friends were practicing the Arch of Sabres out of the Piazza Chapel and Vivian caught a rare preview - and she took notes, this was something we hadn't had in a long time! Rayo's Indian heritage was incorporated into their ceremony as well. Rayo was all smiles throughout the ceremony. Katherine and Rayo did something very different and incorporated throwing rice at one another during the ceremony. If I remember correctly, the person who throws the rice first has the...

7 years of Vivie.

Today is a very special day indeed. We are not only celebrating Tara & Jason's seventh wedding anniversary, but also celebrating seven years of Vivie as the nacho cheese topping that keeps Lynn Michelle Photography yummy. If you ask my grandmother, she will tell you she was solely responsible for getting Vivie involved. Honestly, I can remember asking Vivie to lend a helping hand to speed up formals at Tara & Jason's wedding - as it was threatening to be a ... um ... very warm day. And warm it was! The guests were...

Kali & Paul :: getting ready at Nature's Point, Austin

Hugo, Vivian and I mapped the address for Kali's wedding in Austin on my phone and we arrived a few minutes early, as we always do. However, we were in a residential area off of the lake and there was absolutely no sign of wedding location anywhere in the vicinity. My heart sank as I mapped the location again, this time using the name of the site and finding out that it was actually Leander, Texas. The little symbol spun on the GPS and it soon let me know that I was an hour and 15 minutes away. I almost cried. I had made...

Laura & Drew :: engaged!

I took Laura & Drew to my secret field for engagement pictures. That was the day that we found out that, thanks to facebook, that we had a several mutual friends in common. We laughed and poked fun at our friends and went on our merry way to photography their images. It was still "winter" (you know what I mean if you spent November through February here in North Texas) and my field still has some lovely patches of greenery. So we had our usual frolic-fest through the field when we saw another photographer and his model...

Haley & Hunter :: Van Cliburn Reception

Haley and Hunter's reception at the Van Cliburn room at Bass Hall was magical. The whole day had come together beautifully with the help of their family and friends and they finally got the chance to relax and enjoy themselves. Vivian caught this image of downtown Fort Worth at dusk and it just captured the warmth and beauty of the day.  Haley had created all of the flower arrangements for the day and they just brought the room together. Like her, they were sweet and elegant. Haley & Hunter's first dance in the...

Kimberly & Slade :: Orion Ballroom Reception

Kimberly and Slade just glowed with all sorts of loveliness at the Orion Ballroom in the main ballroom area. As part of our concept to show off the space, we did their "first dance" in the center of the room  to take advantage of those fantastically vintage mirrors. We then giggled all the way through their cake cutting on the right hand side of the room. The warm amber color that LeForce Entertainment designed for the uplighting was a great way to combine Kimberly's vintage gown and the soft peach table clothes...
