Amy & Justin :: Caught

Vivian and I had a blast with Hugo assisting us at Amy & Justin's wedding. I had the pleasure of meeting him through a photography group and I knew he was going to fit in just perfectly. And he did. Hugo not only performed some daring acrobatics to hang the dress up, but he manned my telephoto & wide angle lenses from the balcony. The latter was no small feat since he is a Nikon shooter and that means that the lenses secure in the opposite direction. Here he is testing out our Canon equipment in the balcony ... A...

Caught @ Liz & Frank's Dallas wedding

I hope that no one missed this gem from facebook. I think it requires a second post. I'd like to credit Liz's mom, Pat, with catching me in action during formal portraits. She called it "Lynn Michelle--showing 'em how it's done!" I can't help but come back to the image and just laugh and laugh. And laugh and laugh. Not only because I actually do that at weddings, but also because I got caught! I'm the tallest one in this picture! YAY! Stacey from Simple Moments Photography was my second shooter. Of course, we had to...

Caught at Renee & Greg's e-pics

I admit it.I discovered a bunch of unposted pictures in my caught folder. There, you caught me. Here's a rare one from an engagement session. I'm usually the only shooter but Vivian decided to turn the camera on me. I call this one "working the abs, praying for no ants in my capri...

Nicole & Adam :: caught

Looks like I was SO excited to post Nicole & Adam's wedding that the Caught images simply escaped my mind. Last, but not forgotten - CAUGHT! Audrey helping me with a quick lighting test. She's soaring. This one is just. plain. funny. Vivie invades my space. <insert Jaws music> I could tell you what I am really doing in this image, but it's just funnier to note that I look like I'm about to shank Adam in the knee with a cake cutter after laying down the law with my right hand....

Caught @ Ofelia & Matt's Grapevine Wedding

Ready for some silliness on this lovely Monday afternoon? Hello, my name is Lynn and this is my fake smile. This is my serious smile. This is what Vivian and Becca look like walking down the aisle. (Becca is interning with us for the remainder of the year - say hi!) This is what the flower girl did during the ceremony. And then she nibbled on her dress during...

Caught at Jennifer & Stephen's Dallas wedding

Up this week is Jennifer and Stephen's wedding at the historical and beautiful Scottish Rite Cathedral in Dallas.  The ballroom is utterly lovely and airy, perfect for their afternoon wedding. As always, I'll begin with the caught images from the wedding. The cathedral has three levels  so I wanted Audrey to come along and help us move lighting for formals, and she got some good exercise on the stairs. Jennifer wore her grandmothers veil. Here is grandma telling us about it, of course I...

Caught @ Rashee & Asheesh's California Wedding

Vivian and I came back from California and all we have to show for it are these silly caught pictures. Kidding, the full wedding will be shellacking its sexiness all over the blog next week. Friday's rehearsal dinner at Asheesh's parent's home in San Jose  - Vivian and I showing off our new dresses from H&M. The wedding was on Sunday so Rashee & Asheesh hosted a roast in their suite at the hotel on Saturday. Since we had some time before their friends arrived and we had all of their wedding...

Caught @ Jamie & Jeff's Wedding

We had the full crew at Jamie & Jeff's wedding. You know what that means ... quite  a few caught photos! Nancy - always mischievous, especially with a dress. There's a Vivie in every sparkle of Jamie's bracelet. Multi-Vivie! Hello Jeff, and hello Vivie in the mirror. Audrey caught the flowers girls staring at her before the ceremony. She is intriguing. Vivie is staking her claim on the cake. "This is how it's done" Cake cutting caught from above by Audrey. We each tested our lighting and...

Caught @ Heather & Tom's wedding

Vivian vs the flying wedding dress. Audrey waiting for the first glimpse. Avery from Photography by Avery assisted us and also helped me test the ceremony lighting. Hello height difference! Intently focused Vivie during the ceremony. Hmmmmm. Vivie jazz...
