Vivian had plenty of time to play with Carly’s dress and incredibly lovely accessories. The Orion Ballroom was the perfect combination of sassy bling to compliment Carly’s style.
Let me tell you how amazing Carly’s bridesmaids were. Makeup & hair ran us an hour and half past the time we needed to be at the church, I was hyperventilating internally but peacefully smiling on the outside, as per usual. I walked the ladies into the room with Carly’s dress and I explained the situation “we need to get her dressed and out the door as soon as possible without her noticing that we are rushing”. They nodded and I crossed my fingers as I walked over to get Carly from the bridal suite.
Carly walked into the room with all of her bridesmaids standing at full alert staring right at her. Carly laughed and asked what was going on and one kind voice in the crowd said “we are excited to get you ready!”. We had Carly dressed and in the limo within minutes and she was all smiles, peacefully unaware of the time. I hugged each and every girl that day, thankful for their camaraderie and sincere love for Carly. She is indeed one lucky women to have such amazing friends.
Vivian arrived at First United Methodist and got Thadd dressed. He was a bundle of nerves and excitement.
Our arrival at the church was only moments before the guests were beginning to arrive and it just wasn’t possible to do the family and bridal portraits we had planned ahead of time. I was in full on internal panic mode, knowing the sun would be setting right during the ceremony and losing all of that gorgeous natural light. Vivian and I moved Carly and Thadd across the street to the Dallas Museum of Art for their first glance.
Don’t you just adore Carly’s brooch bouquet? It was just divine!!
