And now I can officially blame the Ward family because they started all of this last year when we did holiday portraits with them and their sassy dog Barkley. This year, I was able to devote a Sunday afternoon to the whole crew – The McConnells, the Spooners, and the Lutteneggers as well. And then my evening culminated with the Wards. And it was beyond glorious.
We started with their son, Karsten, and that zany dog Barkley. I have never seen a more mellow, pliable pup. Want him to sit on a chair in the middle of a field? Sure. Want him to be Karsten’s foot rest? Sure. Sit around while we paint in the field? Sure.
Then we enjoyed some time painting Karsten and playing with his adorable cousin Addi. And as the whole crew drove off, I remembered thinking that I am so lucky to have them all in my life.
