There’s nothing like a little Brayden in your life, especially on a Friday afternoon.
We shot all of these images when the first round of rains came through Dallas. Even then, my favorite little field was starting to become one messy, mushy location. That day, we took the long way around to avoid a fairly large puddle and laughed as we all got soaked anyway and slid around in the mud. James hiked Brayden over his shoulder and carried him – superman style – across part of the creek. He then came back for Nancy, myself, and a wagon full of props.
In true Lynn & Nancy style, we collaborated via text message, the day before the session. Somehow we went from butterfly net to fishing pole and it all worked seamlessly and made perfect sense as we jumped around and laughed in the middle of this lush little field. I always get a good solid hour of shooting from Brayden, which is a complete impossibility coming from any other three year old.
And on our way back through, we sloshed right through that big old puddle and laughed some more as the wagon filled with water – because that is what life is like with Nancy, James and Brayden in your life.
