This rainy weather has really done a number on my portrait sessions. I’ve been playing the shuffling game trying to get everyone shot before the 100 degree days start up and avoiding this soggy pool we call Dallas.

When Rachel & Gary’s engagements came up last Sunday we all stayed optimistic and went ahead with shooting them. Even as Vivian and I were driving towards Fort Worth and the car was being sprinkled with the spitty-type rain I stayed optimistic.

We were all happily surprised when not a single drop fell during the whole session. Don’t get me wrong, we didn’t get an ounce of sun either, but it never hurts to look up at the sky and say “Just one ray. Just one, please!” Didn’t work. I need to learn the sun dance.

O yes, so Rachel and Gary. They watched me zoom in and out of the paths at the Japanese Garden looking for magical picture locations and dodging other visitors. Luckily, they were up for anything themselves. Super fun times on a bamboo stick!
