… and then the rains came …
…. and it amuses me to start a journal entry in that way …

Well, we thought we would be battling the crowds on a Monday evening and instead we were battling the rain. At first we tried to outsmart it by starting pictures at the car show and eating some snacks in the food pavilion, but the rain decided to hold out until we were in the midway, we had the best sunset, and I had just gotten my lighting set up.

So, as I mentioned before … and then the rains came …
I was not going to be stopped by some “water from the sky”, so we started darting from cover to cover in the midway and shooting right along  as we went. Nancy, too, was not to be stopped. She promptly scrunched her hair and we went right along on our merry [wet] ways.

No day at the fair is complete without a cotton candy splurge. It’s like the cake cutting at a wedding and must be done. And there is nothing better than shoving cotton candy in your assistant’s mouth and taking a picture. You love it. It’s sugar on a stick. Mwhahahaha.

Finally, if I may direct your attention to the last picture of Nancy & James. Nancy is not “crunking” or “hackey sacking” she’s showing me her mad under-the-leg photography skillz.
