Liz & Carl :: a Seattle engagement

Last month, I was flown to Seattle where I was forced to shop at H&M, hang out with my best friend and eat lots of pho. I was later required to take a ferry to Bremerton, run around in the most incredible park with amazingly perfect lighting, and shoot in abandoned army barracks. After that, they forced me to eat the perfect Neopolitan pizza at Tutta Bella and catch the most sublime sunset in downtown Seattle. Tough stuff, folks, but someone has to do it.

Liz and Carl are getting married in New York next month but currently reside in Washington so I suggested engagement portraits in the Seattle area. I crossed my fingers and sent off the email and jumped in joyous little circles when they agreed.

I’ve been lucky enough to have met Liz on several occasions, but I knew very little about Carl so doing engagements a few months before the wedding instead of a few days prior sounded like a really good idea. Carl is everything and more that I would have hoped for Liz.I know Vivie will adore him too when she meets him in October. These two are just so comfortably natural together …
