I had the pleasure of visiting the Winspear Opera House shortly right after it’s grand opening in 2009. I knew how breathtaking the location was but in my wildest dreams I was not prepared for this on-stage event presented by Dallas Opera. I couldn’t even have imagined what it would all look like and suddenly I walked in and there it was, in all of its gorgeous glory.
And for a small moment I panicked seeing the low, candle-lit lighting combined in multiple places with large theater spot lights. No time for panic though, I picked up my 5DIII (perfect for the low-light portion!) and whispered a simple phrase to myself “I’ve got this”.
