The Dallas Wedding Planner Blog had a multi-post series on groom’s cakes that should not be missed for some unique designs and ideas! It showcased a few of my own groom’s cakes as well!
The first one is the Mario Kart cake from Holly & Jason’s wedding last October. The cake was created by Sweet Expressions by Selina and was totally decked out all the way from Piranha plants to Chain-Chomps.
Here are a few other views of this rocking cake.
The blog also featured Ashley & Peter’s ski slope cake from their wedding this past December. Ashley joked that’s she’s always at the bottom of the mountain looking up.
And a few more details from their cake. Cutting into it was a bit more difficult than they imagined and they joked about hitting some boulders on the way in! This mountain of a cake was brought to you by Sandy’s Creative Cakes in Fort Worth.
One of my favorites of all time – The Ninja Turtles – from Jacque & David’s wedding in January of 2009. It was executed by Frosted Art Bakery and looked so real that the guests didn’t realize they were cakes! Each Ninja Turtle was a different type of cake/filling.
Raphael looks on.
David knew exactly which turtle he wanted to cut into : Michelangelo.
Michelangelo also happened to be the red velvet cake which made everyone laugh.
