There’s nothing like all of us Dallas/Fort Worth wedding vendors getting together for a little Thursday Therapy. Thursday Therapy is a monthly networking event hosted by the lovely Kelly Simants of Sweet Pea Events and last Thursday’s event was at the very yummytastic Vapiano at Mockingbird Station. Kelly asked me to document the fun and so I brought a simple camera/lens setup along with me. All of the images are up on facebook with everyone tagged, but here are some of my favorites, plus I can fully explain about my upside image series (see below).

The following images were shot upside down. Seriously. So the story is that that the outside had these HUGE red umbrellas and everyone was turning an electric shade of red when I photographed them. My only option was to shoot as is and then turn everything black/white in post but I refused to give up. I turned my camera upside down, bouncing my flash off of the concrete and getting MUCH better skin tones! WINNER!!!

Josh Littrell. Josh & I have a great ‘how we met’ story. It was a couple of years ago and we were attending a photography seminar in Dallas. It was break time and were hungry. So we scored some chicken fingers & fries at this little restaurant in the bar and made it back well in time for the presentation to resume. We still joke about our upcoming seminar on how to score food at any event 🙂
