My dearest blog stalkers,

I thought it time was for a State of the Union type of address to my blog-dom. Vivian, Audrey, Nancy, Kristen and I are  full blast into another amazing wedding season.

Vivian continues to rock in her role (ha, I actually wrote ‘roll’ accidentally!) as my second shooter and extreme Cupid Shuffler. She’s also the queen of culling (yes, sci-fi fans, we call it culling around here). Nancy has been making wedding day details her play toy and bringing the fun for her 2nd year now. Audrey is our new & up-in-coming troublemaker, wielding the lighting with ease and sarcasm. Kristen is behind the scenes, keeping the studio running smoothly and totally pretty.

So things are moving swimmingly here in the studio and I can’t believe that in late summer it will officially be my 13th year of photography! Thirteen has always been a lucky number for me and I’m feeling very spunky and revived this year. I’ve gone from the early days of waking up in a panic to knowing that my wonderful crew has everything under control. They continue to keep my laughing and inspiring me to take over the world one fabulous person at a time. I love them all to pieces.

As many of you have noticed, I extended my wedding postings from one day to a week to bring you more pictures, but shorter individual posts. My brides have absolutely LOVED the extended coverage of their day, and I’m seeing that you are sharing my blog like it’s some yummy secret recipe.  I’ve got posts lined up a mile long on my to do list, with 3 engagements, 3 bridals, 2 weddings, and  2 family portrait sessions in the pipeline from March! Don’t fret my March darlings, your fabulous time on the blog is coming!

And last but not least, there’s Gnomie. I’ve officially gone through 4 gnomes since his official introduction. At Amanda + Joshua’s wedding I knew it was time to start the search for #5 when he tried to sneak off with gallon of water in his hat. My search for “Gus the original Gnome” (his Christian name, apparently) yielding some sad ‘out of stock’ results. But then I found him – he and his twin brother (yes, I went ahead and bought two) were living in Salt Lake City! However, when Gus and Gus arrived, I was in for an obviously steroid-induced surprise – they were both over 2 feet tall!

I stared at Gus’ V & VI and for a single ridiculous moment wondered if I could just bring them to weddings anyway.  However, I quickly realized that new Gus was the size of a wedding cake and he just wouldn’t cut the cheese for us (although he did have a bigger knife just in case we did actually need him to cut cheese). So they went back to Salt Lake City, and I wished them safe & happy travels.

Gnomie & Gnomie Gnomie & Gnomie

Many hugs,
Lynn + crew
