So there I am, a part of SuperBowl XLV, and it’s everything and nothing like what I expected it to be.
I arrived at Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington around noon and made my way to one of the Field Level Clubs. Steve Cooley of Carpe Vita Photography was leading the charge as he was the reason that we were all there. Steve had been retained by the NFL and he had extended a few key shooting positions to a some choice wedding photographers (myself, Stacey Pinkney of Simple Moments Photography, and Jassen) that he thought could capture the spirit of the Super Bowl.
My assignment was to cover the Press Club, also known as the Miller Lite Lounge on the home team side. As you can see, I wore a very sporting Cowboys blue and white. Thanks to Chris Mignemi from Fox News Channel for the image!
My assignment was complete around 4:30 and I had the amazing opportunity to shoot some images of the Green Bay Packers from my vantage point on the field.
I was able to take a few shots of the Black Eyed Peas coming down from the massive tv screen. They did have their backs to us for their performance. 50/50 chance of being on the correct side, of course 🙂
