My first big responsibility as the Matron of Honor was to plan the bridal shower, which was last Sunday. I found Cheesecake Amor through a google search consisting of the keywords “McKinney + wine + cheecake”. Perfect. And it was. We were impecably taken care of, fabulously wined & dined and extremely pleased as punch.
I have to tell you about the yummies that we had!
Appetizer: cheese tray (talk about starting on the right foot!)
Appetizer: crab cakes
Salad:Caesar
Main Course: Parmesan Chicken, Five Cheese Penne, broccoli & fried potatoes
Dessert: Cheesecake, of course! Among the many choices we had raspberry, classic, and marble.
Wine: 337 Cabernet & a New Age White Blend which was served over ice with a lime. Loved it!
Before I launch into pictures, let me tell you how I met Gloria. Ok, I don’t actually remember HOW we met but I do remember when: it was our junior year at Plano East Senior High School. We had friends in common and the same lunch period, so it somehow worked itself out. Gloria actually used to terrorize me at lunch. Maybe not terrorize, but definitely ANNOY. I always brought bottled water for lunch and I always ended up having skittles floating in it – thanks to G!
In all of those years, we’ve actually not really lived in the same city and somehow our long distance friendship always trucked on through our marathon phone conversations. Seeing her in Dallas is a rare treat and I’m utterly excited about visiting her and Eric in Seattle for their wedding in a few months!
So, yes, now it is picture time!
PS- Super love to Vivian -who played camera girl for the day!
Gloria got to spend time with her grandmother. That was one of the main reasons of having it in McKinney, so that Grandma Gloria could attend 🙂
Gloria’s dad & her maternal grandfather (her mom’s dad). Nope, they aren’t related – doesn’t that make it funnier?
Gossiping with Gloria’s aunt Ann.
Gift time!
I got goodies too!
Classic Gloria + Lynn.
