New Jersey photographer Neil van Niekerk came through town on Monday with his lighting workshop. It’s something I have been anticipating for a few months now, actually.
I’ve been playing with a lot of different types of creative mood lighting both in and out of the studio ever since Zack Arias’ One Light Workshop earlier this year and I thought this workshop would be a good compliment to what I had already learned. It was.
Let me start by saying that Neil had pinned me as the troublemaker. which is utterly not true. Alright, so I picked f/8 when everyone was being much more sensible apertures; I just wanted to see what he could do 😉
The workshop itself was very informative and well presented. Neil is entertaining & engaging – and I’m not saying that to lose my troublemaker status- he really is.
