Vivian and I took last Thursday off to frolic at the Texas State Fair. We were pretty much starving by the time we actually made it inside. Stupid construction traffic on I30, bah.
First stop, super sized Texas nachos …
Followed by fried cheese with a side of ranch. We didn’t eat anything else fried or battered since we were pretty stuffed at that point. I know, amateurs.
We took a ride on the ferris wheel and had our picture snapped by a lovely family that was sharing the cage with us.
We noticed the swan paddle boats from the ferris wheel and decided to try something different this year. Somehow neither of us have ever done the paddle boats, but we thoroughly enjoyed a leisurely float around the lagoon. Too bad I had the wrong lens for the occasion and I couldn’t get an image of both of paddling along. Happy Vivie.
