The brand spanking new 121 toll road was supposed to open up yesterday. 121 would make my drive from Irving to McKinney a joke so I was incredibly excited.
Well, never trust the signs, at 11am everything was still closed off and crews were still busily working. However, right around The Colony (shout out – TCLOTD), Nancy and I were able to jump on a stretch of the new road. We were incredibly excited (ok, I was worried that we had accidentally gone where we shouldn’t have) but we were the 3rd car to be able to get on it. There was a chunk of people and cars right behind us taking pictures and waving (and that’s why I thought I might be in the wrong!).
