Thanks to a fellow photographer (shout out to Kyle!), Vivian and I had the amazing opportunity to photograph the Crystal Lagoon at Windsong Ranch grand opening in Prosper this past summer. It was an amazing event – full of water theatrics on jet skis & flyboards in the lagoon and fire dancers on land. Since the location is only open to residents of Windsong Ranch, it’s not something that most Dallasites will get to enjoy.
I’m sure you have a few questions:
1) What is a Crystal Lagoon? It’s an actual beach-looking lagoon (in the middle of the suburbs!) and it’s as beautiful as it looks in photos. White sandy beaches, and crystal blue water where you can swim, relax, paddle board and even jet ski.
2) Did you get to meet Olympian Michael Phelps? Yes, and he’s so, so sweet. Vivian spent the majority of the event with him in the VIP tent.
3) Who took the picture of you and Vivian? Were you worried about them dropping the camera in the sand/water? So when I sent this image to Vivian she exclaimed “I don’t remember handing the camera over! Who took this?!” I merged two photos together in Photoshop. Now you are looking at the shadows, aren’t you?
