.. or wannabe lighting assistants! I have an opening for a backup lighting assistant, are you interested?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up lighting for formal portraits on the wedding day and bag management. Familiarity with studio strobe lighting is a plus, but not required. Everything you need to know to be awesome will be taught ahead of time and you will be given opportunities to assist & watch before I throw you out on your own. This is a non-shooting position, but may expand to lighting additional weddings and portrait sessions if you really, really, really rock.
Time usually required is between 3 to 4 hours with a break during the wedding ceremony itself. Pay depends on experience.
To sum up ….
Here’s what you have to be:
good with people (patient & funny)
available on random Saturdays (you will be informed well in advance)
interested in photography and sort of technically inclined
Here’s what you can’t be:
scared of Gnomes
crazy
PS, we aren’t replacing Nancy! We need more hands!
