Stacy and Danny’s was absolutely unforgettable. First of all, it’s just always bunches of ridiculousness when Michelle and I work together and then throw in a pinch of an absolutely amazing DJ, Glenn Roush, and we have … well … awesome ridiculousness.
Michelle giving me a check of lighting … with some pizazz.
And then checking it on me. I was definitely too close to the lights.
Hugo checking the distance on the telephoto lens as Michelle & I pose at the front of the ceremony site. We so cute.
Now that’s what I call orchestrating a picture – perfect sunlight and all!
Here’s a funny story! Glenn (DJ) came up to me during the reception and asked me who would be cutting the cake for the guests. Usually it’s the caterer, but their caterer specialized in Texas BBQ so I had a feeling it wouldn’t be them that night. Glenn approached Stacy & Danny to ask them if there was a guest or someone else who would be doing it and he came back with the following answer “they said Lynn will be doing it.” So I asked “who’s Lynn?” Glenn just laughed and I got flustered – I’ve never actually cut up a wedding cake for guests and I was hoping they just meant that I would be showing them how to do their part of it. I never did find out if they wanted me to cut up the whole cake or not … it would have been a cake slaughter if they did!
Anyway, here’s me showing them how to cut the cake. This part, I’ve got.
Here’s another good story. I’m hiding from Michelle- behind my camera and a piece of tissue paper. Why? Well, I had put my camera down during ring shots on the sweetheart table and I guess there was chocolate cake on the table, which ended up transferring to the back of my camera, which then ended up on my face. And Michelle was hell bent on taking a picture of me with cake all over my face.
Michelle. Yeah, that’s all you need to know.
And another one – complete with one last story. Right as Stacy & Danny were gearing up to leave the reception, it started raining. Like monsoon, torrential, never going to see the light of day kind of a downpour. Of course, this put a damper on their bubble exit (which would have made the floors too slick inside the building). But never fret! We moved the car closer to the door and Michelle & I organized a spirit finger farewell instead! Get your hands up, ya’ll.
