For those of you that have been around the journal for a while, you know exactly what my “caught” pictures are. I have recently had an influx of newbie journal stalkers so I wanted to take a moment to explain the phenomenon to them.
We are always testing lighting. Every new place or situation requires we fire of a test shot to make sure that what I have in my head corresponds to what the camera is giving me. When testing lighting, you always need a model and who better (and more available!) than one of my fiendishly fabulous crew? Ok, and sometimes we just fire off a shot of one of us doing something strange.
The funniest part is how everyone reacts to those test shots. I’d like to describe, in three words or less (whatever- like I can ever convey anything in three words or less!), everyone’s reaction to the test shots. I might as well resurrect and old caught image just for fun, too.
Me- I’m the one who is actually caught working and bossing people around.
Vivian- acts like she is way too cool for this.
Pam- strikes a pose
Jason- always looks cautiously scared of us
Nancy- well, there really aren’t enough words for Nancy.
So with all of that said, I have a whole folder of caught images from my last four weddings that are ready to see the light of day. Get ready folks, this bunch is HILARIOUS!
