I’m leaving for my final destination wedding of the year. If you have been following along, it has been quite a year of travel!

This weekend’s stop: Whistler, Canada. It sounds romantic, soft and snowy. As a native Dallassite, all I can think about is how many sweaters I need. Brr.

I’ve joked about it before, but I will say it again – I am going to see REAL snow! I’m excited, scared and intrigued. I’ve already read up on some tips and tricks for cold weather photography. The biggest thing I need to worry about is keeping my batteries warm as they lose power quickly in colder temperatures. Several male photographers have recommended that I keep them in my armpit or underwear. Thank you kind sirs, but I will go for an internal coat pocket.

The bride’s name is Erinn, and like all of my destination weddings this year, I am blessed to know her quite well so I am excited about attending a warm family event. Erinn came by a few weekends ago to test out her bridal attire and I snapped some images in the studio. Here’s a little preview of the ultra elegant affair that I am expecting this weekend :

In closing, regular “Lynn is out of the studio” rules apply:

1. In an emergency – don’t panic. I may not be receiving phone calls, but text messaging works. I will reply to your text as soon as possible, but only if it is a true photographic emergency (lol).

2. Drop me an email to see if you like my out of office reply. I will be returning emails in order of most to least fascinating upon my return Tuesday.

3. Don’t raid the studio. I have all of the good gear with me anyway and Nathan will be here with the attack cats ready to pounce.

4. No, Nancy, you can’t come with us.
